Only what an agent sends to the relay: the file contents, its file name and MIME type, and the chosen retention period. File Relay has no accounts and does not collect names, email addresses, or conversation content beyond the tool arguments needed to store a file.
Files are stored in Cloudflare R2 for the sole purpose of being downloaded through the link returned to the agent. Download links are unguessable but public: anyone who has a link can download the file until it expires.
Each download link stops working when it expires: after 24 hours by default, 7 days at most. Every file is permanently deleted from storage within 7 days of upload, whatever its expiry. Unused upload links expire after 1 hour. Files can be deleted earlier with the delete token returned at upload. Our servers and Cloudflare keep standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for a limited time for security and operations.
We do not sell file contents or metadata, share them with third parties, or use them to train AI models. Our infrastructure provider is Cloudflare, Inc. We may disclose data when required by law, and we remove files reported as abusive.
